Fashion Since 1945, the touring exhibit chronicling the journey of Italian fashion from post World War II era to present day is well on its way to its next destination, Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville.
Due to take place from June 5 to September 7, 2015, the event aims to explore the development of womenswear and menswear with an unwavering focus on key designers, outstanding techniques, materials and expertise that have contributed to Italy’s reputation for quality and style.
Based on new archival research, the exhibition will feature some 90 garments and accessories designed by iconic Italian fashion houses, including Dolce and Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Missoni, Prada, Pucci, Valentino and Versace.
Also couture and bold ready-to-wear creations from next generation names such as Giambattista Valli, Fausto Puglisi and Valentino’s new designer duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have been included in the display.
