BEFORE he even collected his diploma, fashion designer Michael Ooi Wooi Jin, 21, had gotten cracking.

The Best Student Award 2015 recipient of Equator College had established his own brand, MO Factory and will soon open an online store for his custom designs.

“I modelled my own designs and posted photos of them on social media. After some time, people started asking me about my clothes. That was when I decided to start my own brand.

“I will target designer men’s wear because the current market pays a lot of focus on women’s wear. I believed that men today would also like to dress well,” he said after receiving his Diploma in Fashion Design Technology at Equator College’s 25th Convocation 2015 in Hotel Jen in George Town on Sunday.

Michael, who is a Star Education Fund Scholarship recipient, earned his diploma with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.87.
